Fitness Leadership and Education

Fitness Pros are Life Changers

The positive impact that group fitness instructors and personal trainers make can stay with people throughout their days, months, and sometimes their lives.  We are difference-makers for people’s bodies, minds, and spirits.

Do you love supporting folks in their health and wellness goals? Do you find yourself drawn to being in front of the class, or helping people with their exercises while you’re in the gym?

Fitness leadership might be just the thing for you!

Continuing Education Credit Workshops

  • The Progression-Regression Formula

We know we must have options for clients, BUT when we consider all possible variables to manipulate, AND if we’re leading a small group PT session or a group fitness class, we can end up in the “paralysis by analysis” state, unsure of how to make a fast, informed decision.

The Progression-Regression Formula helps to create a step-by-step process to help us “flip through our mental Rolodex” to quickly find safe, effective and inclusive options for all clients

**pre-approved for 4 CECs with OFC and CPTN

  • Coach, Cue and Correct

When leading a class, small group training program, or 1 on 1 personal training session, you know in your mind what you want the exercise to look like, but despite best efforts, you do not seem to be able to get the desired technique result with your virtual or in-person client(s).

Created using skills and tools from personal training, group fitness, and wellness coaching spaces, the “Coach, Cue & Correct” method:

-helps fitness professionals ensure they are set up for success by exploring learning styles, common challenges that can hold clients back, and ensures safe spaces are created for clients to thrive (“the coach” step)

-“the cue” step brings clarity to your communication, enhancing your “tell-show-do” method, and applying cues to meet various learning styles

-“the correct” step, serves to correct client errors, using constructive techniques as well as anatomy and biomechanics review to help ensure clients feel empowered, and are using safe and effective movement

**Pre-approved for 4 CEC credits with OFC and CPTN**
